I have a lot of different arrows from over the years and don’t know if I should shoot them all.  I have some really light ones.  What might you do to your bow if you shoot arrows that are too light?

If you shoot arrows that are too light for your bow, you risk damaging your bow and causing injury to yourself or others.

When you shoot an arrow that is too light, the bowstring can snap forward violently after release, causing something called "string slap". This can damage your bow and cause the arrow to fly unpredictably, potentially causing injury to you or someone nearby.

In addition, shooting arrows that are too light can cause your bow to experience something called "dry firing", which is when the bowstring is released without an arrow in place. This can cause serious damage to your bow, including cracking or breaking the limbs or riser.

In general, it's important to use arrows that are appropriate for the poundage of your bow. If you're not sure what weight arrows to use, consult with a professional archery shop or instructor who can help you choose the right equipment for your bow and shooting style.

Using the correct weight arrows will help ensure that your bow operates safely and that you can shoot accurately and comfortably.
